Back (This is NOT a Stand Alone Test)
DEFINITION
To determine the health of worker’s back and to attempt to assess the possibility of injury to the back and/or establish a baseline for those with previous back injuries.
A careful history of previous back problems, work history, followed by a complete examination of the back measuring motion, neurological evaluation, vascular assessment and assessment of orthopedic structures. It does not include any imaging procedures such as x-raying of the back or scanning of the back.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR BACK EXAM:
The back exam will take approximately 10-15 minutes in addition to the standard exam (such as pre-placement) that you are in our clinic for.
During the back examination the Physician will:
- Review your personal and work history as it relates to your back.
- Examine your back thoroughly for strength, motion, neurological and vascular abnormalities.
