Immigration Exam

What To Expect From Your Immigration Exam

  • You can expect to provide immunization records, if available, required for your age group. If appropriate documentation is not available; You can expect to receive vaccinations for certain diseases such as Measles, Mumps and Rubella, Tetanus and possibly Pneumonia and Hepatitis B.
  • You can expect to have a skin test to screen for Tuberculosis.
  • You can expect to have your blood drawn for certain blood tests such as HIV, RPR and Varicella immunity. You will not have to have blood drawn for any test that you can provide recent (within one year), lab results for the appropriate tests.

Your lab results may indicate the need for follow up services such as a Chest X-ray, INH Therapy Evaluation and/or a Varicella vaccine. Some of these services may need to be done outside of our clinic. You will need to return the appropriate documentation of these services to the civil surgeon.

  • You can expect a $50.00 charge to your credit card if you do not show up for your appointment or cancel within 48 hours of your appointment date.
  • You can expect your paperwork to be ready in 7 to 12 business days. Some follow up services may cause delays.
  • You can expect to be called promptly when your paperwork is ready.
  • You can also expect a call if additional services are needed, before your paperwork can be completed. Do not call the clinic requesting information with regard to when you can expect the paperwork to be completed. This slows the process for completion down and will result in significant delays.
